The ‘IOS Firewall’ review came at a good time for me this week. A client of mine had been experiencing an issue where a H.323 video conference from the US to AU was being dropped after 30 minutes. A quick inspection on the router and I was able to find the following:

ANI is not available with E1R2 dtmf signaling. For all other E1R2 options, ANI is available and you need to select this option to have ANI send out.

Rule of thumb.
a. First analyze and group the time-period for which you want the partition to be active. This could be business hours (M-F, 8-5 for say).
b. If the time slots cannot be grouped into one time period, define multiple time periods.
c. Group all timeperiods into one time schedule.
